The JANUS^® G3 420 workstation is incorporated into our automated sample preparation QS-Works 420 workflow, which improves data quality, increases sample throughput, and minimizes cross contamination. It has been specifically configured with an automated centrifuge that spins down samples and automatically removes and dispenses aliquots of the extracted samples.

The unique JANUS G3 420 platform design consists of two (2) pipetting arms (Varispan 8-tip arm and gripper arm) to enhance your workstation's overall functionality. Standard pipetting volumes range from 50 μl to 5000 μl.

Ability to automate plate movement and access off-deck plates to load and unload from the centrifuge without the need for an additional robotic arm
Varispan 8-tip arm provides independent motion and liquid level sensing to access test tubes, microplates, deep well plates, and vials. Sampling probes offer variable spacing from 9 mm to 40 mm
The patented Accusense^™ independent liquid level sensing technology efficiently monitors sample volumes, detecting samples as low as 50 μl in microplates and 100 μl in test tubes. Low or non-ionic polar solutions and organic solvents such as DMSO or methanol are also detectable
Carry-over elimination via a peristaltic pump for high volume and high throughput sample tip washing for carryover to less than 1:1,000,000 with appropriate washing
The integrated centrifuge provides automated loading and unloading of samples without interruption. The centrifuge has high capacity (4 x 50 mL tubes) with cooling and heating feature (temperature control from -20 °C to +40 °C)
The integrated camera barcode reader allows for automated scanning of the samples
The Teleshakes offer a magnetic shaking system with powerful shaking movements from 100 rpm up to 2,000 rpm, with amplitude of 3 mm
6-Way Valve provides access up to 6 different solvents
WinPREP^® software with JANUS^® Application Assistant features an intuitive user interface and simplified protocol set-up to support users of all levels
