Type A terminations Tensile test : as described in IEC 60068-2-21, test Ua, with the following provisions : ---all terminations shall be tested ---Tensile force shall never exceed the module weight Bending test : as described in IEC 60068-2-21 , test Ub , with the fllowing provisions , ---all terminations shall be tested ---method 1-10 cycles (1 cycle is 1 bend in each opposite direction)
Type B terminations Tenwile and bending tests: a) for modules with exposed terminals , each termination shall be tested as for type A terminations b) if the terminations are enclosed in a protective box, the following procedure shall be applied:
Torque test : as described in IEC60068-2-21 , test Ud with the fllowing provisions : --all terminations shall be tested -- severity 1
The nuts or screws should be capable of being loosened afterwards unless they are specifically designed for permanent attachment
